Meet Daniel Tamayo

Daniel Tamayo
With over two decades of experience as a conference interpreter, technical translator, and trainer, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with exceptional clients and partners to deliver tailored language solutions.
My expertise spans economic development, government policy, Indigenous Peoples issues, environmental protection, education, health services and legal matters. I’ve had the honor of interpreting at United Nations climate summits and human development conferences, and for heads of state and at a ministerial level for different organizations like the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the power of clear communication while making a difference.
As a lifelong learner and graduate of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, I strive to provide world-class interpreting and translation services.
Beyond my professional work, I’m committed to advancing the field of translation and interpreting, collaborating with various organizations, as well as by teaching T&I. I regularly conduct workshops and present at conferences, fueled by my passion for our practice and the essential role our profession plays in bridging languages and cultures. For 15 years, I taught at the University of California, Riverside, and California State University, Fullerton, and I spent nearly a decade teaching Spanish at California State University, Pomona.
